You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,
defending the fatherless and the oppressed. Psalm 10: 17-18
Looks like it was a beautiful ceremony. I'm praising God today for marriages like yours. So good for children to have parents who love each other so much. Thanks for sharing and being a light in this world!
Did you really dress up all the children except for Julia? Why is she in footie pajamas while all of the other kids are dressed up nicely? That seems a bit unfair, no?
Julia has had a very medically complex life. I don't know the back story of her clothes in these photos but I've read enough of this family's story to believe they love Julia as their own.
Thank you Jennifer for your kind support. If you must know Ellie.....Julia had just gotten home from the hospital the day before from surgery to place her permanent GI tube. She had been fairly sleepy and uncomfortable this day. For these pictures, we woke her up so she could be in some of them. By looking at them, you can tell she is unhappy to have been woken up. Do you think we should have also bothered her more by changing her out of her comfy, recovery clothes? We think not......so please enjoy following what we share on our blog, but refrain from ignorant accusations and negative judgements unless you are involved in our lives on a day to day basis, understanding the ins and outs of our decisions. Thank you.
By the way Ellie, Did you really look closely at what our other children were wearing in the picture before you commented on Julia's attire? If you did, you would have noticed that our six year old son is wearing a Tony Hawk skater t-shirt and cut off jeans shorts! We would hardly consider this "dressed" up. It seems that you are "looking" to be discriminately critical of our treatment of Julia.
I just love following your family! Such beautiful children and Aaron's smile makes me smile every single time I see it. And sweet Julia looks beautiful in her comfy, cozy, footy pajamas!
I love the picture of Aaron with your husband...it looks almost like they have the same smile! Aaron's pictures make me smile every time I see him. And so do Julia's!
BTW - that girl looks beautiful, even in her pj's. Don't get discouraged by the naysayers, sometimes people just look for mean things to say because they're ignorant. It's sad. :(
lovely! congrats, again :-)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful day! I hope Julia is feeling better and adjusting well to her G-tube. It's such a pleasure to see her progress!
