For anyone interested, I will be driving our Church bus up to the airport to welcome home Aimee, Aaron, Julia and my beautiful wife, Carey. I have 11 of the 29 seats occupied. We will be leaving the church at 6:45pm on Wednesday of next week. Their flight arrives at Dulles at around 7:45 and I figure they will be tied up with passport control/baggage claim/customs for a bit.
If you'd like to ride the bus up with us just leave a comment below. The address of the church is 5120 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. I can't wait to see them!
My heart and prayers will be there. Can't wait for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI will be keeping your family in my prayers this Easter weekend and as you prepare next week. What a journey you have all been on, however the future is bright and full of lots of love. Many blessings

What an amazing experience, to have your new kids home for Easter! Your family is always in my prayers, may God bless you and keep you safe!
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize you guys were in VA. We are 35min north of IAD. Anyways, be praying for a safe and speedy trip home.
ReplyDeleteDon't over estimate customs though. I've heard nightmare stuff about hours getting through but the IAD folks seem to have their acts together. My wife and son arrived 10min early on their flight and were out 20min after their scheduled arrival time. Everyone but us who showed up early missed them.
How I wish I could be there!! What a Joy that would be. But, I'll definitely be there in spirit and will be waiting for photos!
ReplyDeleteWUH HOOOOO!!!! SO excited! Amen, Lord. AMEN!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be there, too! Please VIDEO! Cannot wait for that day...
ReplyDeleteSeconding the comment by Brian above. Last time I came through at IAD returning from abroad, it took no time at all.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 sons and I picked my husband and new daughter up from Dulles in December and we waited well over an hour for them to come through customs and we arrived after the plane landed. There is a Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteSteve - I just saw Carey's comment about the bulkhead seat on the Frankfurt flight. If you call the airlines & ask for the "special assistance" department, they may be able to reserve the bulkhead for her. The airlines don't advertise that department, but most of them have one -
